Day 3

What happens if you mess up? 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” When you stumble and fall, confess it to God and ask for forgiveness. When Adam and Eve sinned, they hid from God, which is what we all tend to do. Guilt and shame are weapons the enemy uses to keep us separated from God, wandering in darkness and confusion, feeling unworthy of even talking to God. But we have the promise of 1 John 1:9. If we confess, He will forgive, every single time.

So, when you stumble and fall into temptation and sin, get up, fess up, and thank God for His never-ending mercy and grace. God is able to keep you from falling, so ask Him for help, every single day.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, thank you that You have accepted me just the way I am and that You are at work to change me day-by-day. Thank you, Lord, that forgiveness is always available through the blood of Jesus that can constantly cleanse me from sin. Continue to teach me Your ways, Lord, as I submit myself to you. Amen
